Over the last 2-3 weeks, and since I indicated an interest in joining the Hunter AFL Masters committee, I've been working with another committee member on a survey for the organisation.
It's been quite an interesting exercise, designing the survey and analysing the results, and something that 1) I've really enjoyed, 2) has really focused my attention on how to analyse results, and 3) made me realise how much I need to get into my own data analysis for my project.
It's also made me think about how I would possibly like to do something in report writing for the AFL or a similar role - creating and designing the survey, administering it, and then analysing the results has been a really compelling exercise that has it's own benefits and drawbacks.
It's not without some caution, especially around limitations and interpretations, but I enjoy the numbers analysis and am looking to seeing how it is received by the committee.
